About Jamie

Jamie Scangarella is a New Jersey born-and-raised, Non-Union Actor, Voice Over Artist, and Sketch Comedian. She earned a B.A. in Theater from UC San Diego (yet never learned to surf) before returning to the Big Apple in 2022.

 

For over a decade, Jamie has been performing, improvising, and writing. With sketch comedy, improvisation, and characters being her niches, her work has an emphasis in black comedy, satire, and absurdism that explore and question the human

condition. Jamie is an immersive actor with the Murder Mystery Company. Her schools of comedic training include The Second City (New York), Magnet Theater, and UCB. She has performed all over NYC, but you'll catch her mostly at Magnet Theater where she currently performs with their House Sketch Team, Breakfast Martini. In September of 2024, Jamie self-produced her first sketch show, "Herstory Repeats Herself (No One Heard Her the First Time)" at Magnet Theater.

Jamie is based out of New York City/New Jersey. She is represented by Ramona's Model & Talent, LLC.

When not performing or playing pickleball, Jamie can be found in her home-studio doing voiceovers. Her primary work is in commercial and animation, but she also offers services for narrations, e-learning, IVR, and audiobooks. Click on the logos to learn more.
